A member of ASTM since 1996, Markus Heinimann, Ph.D., technology manager – aerospace at Alcoa Technical Center, Alcoa Center, PA, has received ASTM International Award of Merit. Committee E08 on Fatigue and Fracture honored Heinimann for his exceptional and sustained technical and leadership contributions, in particular to the advancement and application of fracture mechanics technologies for structural integrity and reliability in the aerospace industry.
