ASTM Workshop to address additives in biomedical polymers.

Presentations are invited for workshop on the Use of Additives in Biomedical Polymers to be held May 6, 2014. Workshop aims to elicit discussion on benefits, potential hazards, testing, regulatory considerations, and opportunities for standard activities related to intentionally incorporated additives in biomedical polymers. Some topics for abstract submissions include: colorants; radiopacifiers; elutables, extractables, and leachables; radiolabels; nanomaterials; and failure mechanisms.
