AT&T announces deals with Porsche, Audi, Opel

(Telecompaper) AT&T and Porsche Cars North America have signed a multi-year agreement to bring high speed internet to select Porsche Macan, Boxer and 911 2017 models. AT&T will offer connectivity on its LTE network for the carmaker's Connect Plus services, which include a Wi-Fi hotspot able to connect five devices, navigation, news and weather alerts. AT&T also announced that it will add next-generation technology to the Audi Connect System in select 2017 and 2018 Audi vehicles in North America. Separately, AT&T and Vodafone are supporting the introduction of the Opel and Vauxhall OnStar service in select European countries.
