AT&T delays on highway

AUSTIN >> State transportation officials say one the nation's largest telephone companies has put scores of Texas highway projects on hold. Telecommunications giant AT&T has been so slow to move its infrastructure in the face of road construction that it's forced the Texas Department of Transportation to pay contractors more than $21 million in penalties over the past three years, according to TxDOT figures obtained by the El Paso Times.
