AT&T to pay $105 million to settle US bogus mobile bill claims

AT&T Inc. agreed to pay $105 million to settle U.S. claims that the wireless carrier placed unauthorized charges on customer bills. AT&T unlawfully billed customers for charges originated by other companies for subscriptions to ringtones, horoscopes and text messages, a practice known as mobile cramming, the Federal Trade Commission said in a statement today.
