AT&T to pay $23.8M settlement over environmental violations

Telecom giant AT&T must pay $23.8 million to settle a civil lawsuit over environmental violations, the Oakland Tribune reported . The lawsuit, brought by Alameda County, alleged that AT&T illegally disposed of hazardous electronics waste at 235 facilities in the state over a period of nine years.
