ATandT gets $89 million to expand Ohio rural broadband

AT&T will receive a total of nearly $89 million in federal funds over the next six years to expand high-speed Internet service to rural Ohio homes and businesses, company officials announced. The funds are part of $427 million in annual, ongoing support from the Federal Communications Commission's Connect America Fund to expand and support broadband for more than 2.2 million rural U.S. customers.
