(Telecompaper) Acer has announced the launch of a range of new devices, including tablets, notebooks and Chromebooks that will be available for the back to school season. The company's new Intel Celeron-powered Chromebook 15 (CB3-531) features a 15.6-inch screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution and a starting price of USD 199. It has 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, a full-size HDMI port, micro-SD slot, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports and Acer claims up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Chromebook 15 will start shipping in EMEA in June and the US in July. The Acer Aspire line has also been expanded with full-featured Aspire V 15, Aspire E series and Aspire ES series laptops and 2-in-1s powered by Intel Core, Intel Celeron and Intel Pentium processors to suit all students' needs. The company also launched two new Acer tablets the Iconia One 8 and the Iconia Tab 10 designed for education purposes.
