Active Power narrows Q3 losses

The Austin-based company reported a $2.4 million loss, or 11 cents per share, on revenue of $12.6 million compared with a loss of $3.1 million, or 16 cents per share, on revenue of $13.1 million during the same period last year, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission . In early trading Tuesday, Active Power shares rose sharply 7 percent before settling back to a gain of nearly 4 percent to $1.94 per share.
