Ethan Allen shareholder Sandell Asset Management criticized the Danbury-based furniture company's new contract for CEO Farooq Kathwari and its appointment of two new directors, calling the company's board of directors "stale and entrenched." New York City-based Sandell has been pressuring Ethan Allen to add directors to the board that Sandell supports, creating a website called " Redesign Ethan Allen " as part of its campaign.
