Comprising MEMS-based deformable mirror, optics, optomechanics, camera, and GUI software, Iris AO Adaptive Optics Kit is suitable for exploring wavefront sensorless adaptive optics. Deformable Mirror, protected with reflective silver coating, features 111 actuators with 37 hexagonal piston-tip-tilt (PTT) segments using 3 actuators each. Intuitive mirror positioning using PTT values or Zernike coefficients and USB interface means user can set precision mirror shapes onto mirror.
