Source: University of Illinois   If pork producers want firmer pork and better bacon, they would be wise to adjust pig diets when including distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS), according to a recent paper published in the Journal of Animal Science. Some producers believe that feeding pigs saturated fats will undo the fat-softening effects of DDGS. Firmer fat means longer-lasting pork. read more
