Adva Optical Networking successfully tests long-haul, 100 Gbps optical transport

2018-06-13 17:17:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Adva Optical Networking announced it has achieved the world's first 100 Gbps quantum-safe optical communication transport over a long-haul network in a joint demo with leading national research and education networks (NRENs) in Europe. The demo highlights how high-speed, secure connectivity is possible over deployed operational infrastructure and will be of particular interest for companies and other institutions requiring long-term security of sensitive data given that it can safeguard the data against future quantum-enabled decryption methods, said Adva.
