When the vigils have ended, the flags returned to the tops of their staffs, the community will still need help recovering from the trauma of the mass shootings of Feb. 20. In an effort to address both immediate and long-term community needs related to community violence, a collaborative group of local nonprofits has established a regional fund at www.HelpNowFund.org. The fund was launched with a sizeable donation from the Kellogg Company to the Battle Creek Community Foundation.
