After its first year, GE pleased with micro-factory FirstBuild

With the goal of creating innovations in the appliance industry, the open-source factory allows anyone to come with a hardware idea, develop it and create a prototype. To celebrate, FirstBuild is launching its newest creation, the Opal nugget ice maker , on crowdfunding website Indiegogo.
