Unit No. 2615 has gone through two alternators, eight batteries, three serpentine belts, a dozen sets of wiper blades, four ignition coils and 20 tires. It's had an air conditioning overhaul, a new harmonic balancer installed and any number of filter replacements and new gaskets.
The Newport News marked police car, a 1999 Ford, is still chugging along.
