Offering 2-axis motion control, custom VCS08-700-08/350-AB-01-MC-XY is guided by precision, non-contact air bearings to minimize friction and reduce system pitch, yaw, and roll. Stage operates under closed loop position control, is driven by 3 NCC series moving coil type linear actuators guided by parallel air bearing shafts, and includes 1 micron resolution linear encoder on each axis. Each voice coil has 0.80 in. stroke and generates 35 lb continuous force (105 lb peak).
