The service will start with four flights per week and ramp up to daily on July 1. Also on that date, Air China will shift to the Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport from Terminal 2. The flights will be operated on a Boeing 777-300 ER, featuring three cabins, including eight luxury suites in first class, 41 sleeper seats in business class and 259 economy seats. "Tourism from China has quadrupled over the last four years, and Air China's new service puts us well on our way of meeting our goal of 50 million visitors a year by 2020 and creating more good jobs in the City of Los Angeles," he said in a statement.
