Air New Zealand profits soar 154pc to $338m

Air New Zealand has just announced a massive increase in half- year profits, up 154 per cent to $338m and a 54 per cent jump in dividend payout. Pretax earnings rose to $457 million in the six months ended December 31, from $216 million a year earlier, the Auckland-based company said in a statement.
