With air-driven Model RBX12, existing machines can be upgraded to perform high-speed micro-machining in normal machining center. Spindle achieves variable rotational speed of 100,000–120,000 rpm, optimizing accuracy and surface finish. Ceramic ball bearings and AA-grade Mega Micro Collet guarantee 1 micron runout at collet nose, while .004 in. collapsibility assures near-perfect concentric clamping of micro-tool shank. RBX12 also minimizes thermal displacement in Z-axis for <.001 mm precision.
