Aldi supermarket preps for March opening

The city's first Aldi grocery store, set to anchor a new shopping plaza at 270 Amherst St., will open this spring across from Turnpike Plaza and Whole Foods Market. Bids are also under city review for roadwork stretching in front of the plaza from Charron Avenue to Diesel Road, including the elimination of the jughandle by Charron Avenue.
