(Telecompaper) Yahoo's new parent Verizon has revealed that every single customer account was likely affected by the August 2013 data breach at the internet company. "The company recently obtained new intelligence and now believes, following an investigation with the assistance of outside forensic experts, that all Yahoo user accounts were affected by the August 2013 theft," said Verizon in a statement. As a result, the hack affected some three billion accounts, or three times as many as Yahoo previously disclosed in December 2016. User account information such as email addresses and passwords were stolen, but not payment card data or bank account information, said Verizon.
