Allegiant jet returns to Las Vegas after engine issue

An Allegiant Air flight headed to Stockton, Calif., returned to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas this afternoon because of an engine issue, an airport spokeswoman said. Allegiant Flight 526 left Las Vegas about 1:30 p.m. but returned and landed safely just before 2 p.m., McCarran spokeswoman Christine Crews said.
