2016-05-23 21:51:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Altice has allied with Holographic systems specialist Leia to make its mark as an innovative, customer-focused group. The startup formed in 2014 was formed by David Fattal, Zhen Peng and Pierre-Emmanuel Evreux as a technology spin-off from Hewlett-Packard laboratories. According to the partners, this strategic initiative combines Leia's Holographic Reality technology platform and Altice's content and media ecosystem to provide Altice customers with "an entirely new digital experience via the sharing of 3D selfies, holographic video communication, interactive games and a host of other special apps." Altice, whose R&D base Altice Labs, is in Portugal, intends to roll out the future product in its current markets of France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Israel and the Dominican Republic.
