Altria: The Rumor Mill For SABMiller Heats Up

Shares of Altria rose over 3% on Tuesday after rumors emerged that Anheuser-Busch InBev could be interested in taking over SABMiller , which Altria owns a large 27% equity stake in. This speculation is centered on Altria pulling out from this week's conferences held by BofA Merrill Lynch and Stifel, which followed a similar move by AB InBev which also pulled out its CFO from the Barclays conference last week.
