Amazon Canada to sell clothing, shoes starting Thursday

The online retail giant will begin selling apparel and footwear to its Canadian customers on Thursday, one of the few categories Amazon.ca had yet to introduce since debuting in this country as an online bookseller in 2002. In the past two years the Seattle-based company has stepped up its selection of products significantly as Hudson's Bay, Canadian Tire and Best Buy began to penetrate the digital space more aggressively.
