Ameren plans to reduce coal-fired power plants

The St. Louis-based utility submitted information Wednesday to state utility regulators detailing its long-range plan for energy production. The utility said it got 77 percent of its energy from coal-fired power plants last year but has a goal of reducing that to 62 percent by 2034.
