American Airlines Group to join the S&P 500 on Friday

American Airlines Group will replace Allergan on the S&P 500 Index Friday, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced Monday. American Airlines Group chairman and chief executive officer Doug Parker told analysts and reporters on Jan. 27 that American's total shareholder return of 113 percent in 2014 would have ranked it second if it had been one of the S&P 500 companies.
