American Midstream Partners buys Costar Midstream for $470 million

American Midstream Partners LP has bought Costar Midstream LLC for $470 million, with its CEO saying the Denver oil and gas pipeline company "is now operating in a majority of the key energy resource plays in the U.S." American Midstream , which went public in 2011, bought Dallas-based Costar, an onshore gathering and processing company, from Energy Spectrum Partners VI LP and Costar management. The sale closed Tuesday.
