American recognized for contribution to semiconductor industry

Jeffrey Campbell from the U.S. was awarded the Plum Blossom Card by the National Immigration Agency on Nov. 10 in recognition of his venerable contribution to Taiwan's semiconductor industry. His two U.S. patents relating to IC production and nanotechnology have helped improve manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and ramp up chip production output, the NIA said.
