BusinessGreen: Misunderstood sell-by dates on food are leading to phenomenal amounts of food waste, according to a new report that highlights a lack of federal regulation for food labelling as a key problem. The report, called "The Dating Game", was produced by the Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) and the Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic. It says that 40 per cent of the food produced in the US is never eaten, while $165bn of food is thrown away annually, most of which is edible. Misunderstood food date...
