Angola Cables and TM Global mull new route from South America to Asia bypassing Middle East and Europe

2019-09-17 09:33:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Angola Cables and TM Global, the wholesale arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhard (TM), have announced a successful Proof of Concept (PoC) for a new cable route from South America to Asia via Africa.  The preliminary PoC results have shown a reduction in the latency reading compared with current northern hemisphere routings. This could lead to significant improvements in global internet routing quality, especially for data connectivity services to the southern hemisphere.
