Apple pays EUR 13 bln to Ireland in unfair state aid case

(Telecompaper) Apple has fully paid back the EUR 13 billion in unfair state aid it was ordered by the European Commission to give back to Ireland . Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe said the company paid the bill in tranches over the course of the second and third quarters. The first tranche was paid in May. The full amount was for EUR 13.1 billion, plus interest of EUR 1.2 billion.
