Even in urban areas of India , where social media has taken a firm hold on the teen population, most students prefer to hang out with their friends the old-fashioned way: in person. Among students surveyed in November 2014 by Tata Consultancy Services , more than one-third said their preferred communication method with friends was face-to-face.
