Dallas News: Mention Exxon Mobil, and environmentalists will immediately remind you of the firm's embarrassing reputation as an opponent of clean energy and denier of climate change. The company's scientists warned as far back as the 1970s that carbon dioxide from fossil fuels posed a danger to the planet. Yet the company ignored the warning and for decades publicly denied that a problem existed.
