PhaseBio Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Malvern biopharmaceutical company working on a once-weekly insulin treatment for diabetics, raised $40 million in a private stock sale. The series C financing round was led by AstraZeneca , a London drug company that has its U.S. headquarters in Wilmington, Del.
