ATA Second Vice Chairman Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express Inc. out of Dayton, Ohio, served as the 'master of ceremonies' for the trade group's awards ceremony. "I'm extremely proud to be part of this industry," Burch said in his opening remarks Philip Byrd Sr., ATA's immediate past chairman and president and CEO of Bulldog Hiway Express, noted in his remarks that the trucking industry is "overburdened by regulations and misunderstood by the general public."
