Auction fails to turn up buyer for former FedEx HQ

2014-12-02 01:34:24| Air Courier - Topix.net

The Commerce Center office building at 3760 Lamar Ave. near Memphis International Airport will be up for auction Nov. 12. The former headquarters of FedEx Corp. and Holiday Inn is up for sale again after an auction failed to find a buyer. Buyers expressed interest in the Commerce Center campus at 3760 Lamar Ave., but none met a minimum bid amount of $2.5 million, said Dede Malmo of Malmo Memphis Real Estate Inc. The campus, which was part of a large auction in November , by Sperry Van Ness' SVN Auction Services, has 272,000 square feet of office space, 22,000 square feet of data space and nearly 20,000 square feet of fitness-related space, as I reported then.
