Australian Broadcasting Corporation: Successive Victorian governments have incited "fear and concern" in the community about coal seam gas exploration by imposing a lengthy ban on fracking, a parliamentary inquiry has been told. The Inquiry into Unconventional Gas is considering how to regulate a potential coal seam gas industry in Victoria and whether a statewide ban on the extraction process known as "fracking" should be retained. Energy producers told the inquiry the fracking moratorium, introduced in 2012, should be lifted...
