Sydney Morning Herald: Australia's renewable energy target will survive at its current size after the Gillard government rejected calls from some of the country's largest power companies and business lobbies to cut it back.
Responding to a review of the target on Thursday, Climate Change Minister Greg Combet said the government had decided to maintain the current target to ensure certainty for investors.
