Used to cut high-alloyed, heat-resistant steels and ferrous materials at 90°, HCS-180 uses carbide-tipped saw blades and can cut round stock up to 7 in. dia. Blade diameter ranges from 16.5–20.5 in., and PLC permits programming number of pieces to be cut as well as parameters. Along with 2 non-contact light barriers, features include 34.8 hp, frequency controlled blade drive; 20–250 rpm blade speeds, and NC controlled sawing head with ball-screw spindle driven by servomotor.
