In an 11-page letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy, BIO's Brent Erickson urged rejection of recent petition from American Petroleum Institute and American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers for waiver of 2014 volume obligations under Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). Erikson cited waiver seekers' blocking of investment in infrastructure and creation of marketing challenges as having created same situation from which they are requesting relief.
