(Telecompaper) BT and Virgin Media have signed a 3-year wholesale agreement for Virgin to offer the BT Sport channels. This will give Virgin Media's 3.8 million TV customers full access to the channels, meaning BT Sport 1 and 2 are now available across all the major TV platforms in the UK including cable, satellite and DTT. They are also accessible via broadband. Under the deal, Virgin will offer BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN to its XL TV customers as part of their packages. The agreement also enables Virgin Media to offer the channels as a standalone premium service to TV customers who do not take the XL pack for GBP 15 a month.
