(Telecompaper) BT has launched the Home SmartPhone SII, a DECT touchscreen home phone including access to Google Play for social media, games and other applications, such as music streaming and internet browsing. The new phone runs Google Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). ustomers can link up to home Wi-Fi and it is easy to call straight from selected numbers on websites. It comes with the operator's Nuisance Call Blocking technology. The Home SmartPhone SII follows on the BT6500, BT's first landline phone to block nuisance callers. It has a 3.5-in touchscreen and comes with a 2 GB expandable memory and a front facing camera to take photos around the home and make video calls. The handset can store up to 1,500 contacts and offers a range of up to 50 m indoors and 300 m outdoors. It sells for GBP 169.99.
