Baker Hughes shares up despite loss, challenging short-term outlook

Shares of Baker Hughes Inc. rose July 21 after the Houston-based oilfield services giant released reported a loss for the second quarter that was in line with analysts' expectations. Shares climbed to $61.30 each, up 3.87 percent, by about 9:30 a.m. Central Time before settling back to about $61.12, up 2.79 percent, as of about 11 a.m. Central.
