Ballard posts big third-quarter loss but sees a rosier future

While auto manufacturers such as Mercedes and Toyota have been grabbing headlines on the more glamorous side of the hydrogen fuel-cell sector, it is proving to still be a tougher business for fuel-cell manufacturer Ballard Power Systems, which recorded another multi-million-dollar loss in the third quarter of 2015.
