Bayer Plans Stock-Market Listing for Material-Science Unit

Bayer AG plans to list its plastics unit on the stock market, accelerating its retreat from the chemicals industry after 151 years to focus on more lucrative life-sciences businesses. The supervisory board today unanimously approved the proposal by the management board, the Leverkusen, Germany-based company said in a statement.
