When local man Allan Banfield heard the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra were about to perform a pop up concert in Bendigo's CBD, he abandoned his half-eaten porridge and rushed to Hargreaves Mall. Mr Banfield has a life-long love of the violin - his grandfather was a fiddler and he inherited his very old violin, a family heirloom.
