As Bernadette Peters strode onto the stage Saturday night at the Schnitzer for a set with the Oregon Symphony, I experienced a time warp. The singer and actor looked virtually the same as she did three decades ago, when as a teenager I had a bit of a celebrity crush on her -- a petite, voluptuous dynamo with a curly orange mane that she repeatedly fluffed up as if to glory in its fabulousness.
