Bill allowing 3 Tesla car stores clears Connecticut House

A bill that would allow car-maker Tesla Motors to sell its electric vehicles directly to Connecticut consumers, but in a limited fashion, passed the state House of Representatives on Thursday. Back in March, the California-based company suggested five stores as a possible compromise with the Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association, which opposed an original proposal to allow unlimited direct sales.
